Programming for Creativity: Creating Interactive Systems

This course was about the basic concepts of programming. The Processing programming language was used to get a first overview of fundamental programming techniques. Teaching time was divided between lectures, tutored sessions and presentations of students' solutions. All lectures were complemented by exercises, some of which were small and clearly focussed, while others were more open to artistric or playful interpretation; some were to be done individually, some in teams. Accompaning the course was the well-known Processing book by Reas, Fry (2007).
